Why make a virtual server?

Well, of course there are reasons. First it is important to mention that you can run multiple virtual machines and, therefore, several virtual application servers within a single physical machine, instead of dedicating a totally specific hardware a machine is used to run different types of software on the server. Simply put, it is a different configuration from a traditional server, where a complete physical machine would be needed to do that. And you can say. It's a good element if I want to run different types of server software on a machine similar to Windows Server 2012 and 201, but if I don't, it sounds useless. The point is that it is not the only use for virtual servers, what is actually done is to act as if each software were the only server installed on the hardware, although they are not. An example? If you have a virtual machine running as a mail server and another as a web hosting server, and they are on the same physical machine, none of them affects the other
